cut [options]
    options:
        -c <list>       - list contains byte positions to print.
                          the format is
                              x-y[,x-y]*
                          where x and y are numeric line positions,
                          with the first column equal to 1.
        -d <delim>      - give a field delimiter
        -f <list>       - list of fields, starting with 1, separated
                          by the delimiter (or space if none).
        -s              - supress lines with no delimiter when using 
                          -f option.
